And we’re off…
Published on Monday March 6th, 2006
We hit the road tomorrow morning. I’ll be able to manage a few posts along the way, but no pictures for the next few weeks. Au revoir, my New York friends, and may the “revoir” come soon! I’ll leave you with a particularly apt quote from one of my favorite books:
At last one little spider took time enough to stop and talk to Wilbur before making its balloon.
“We’re leaving here on the warm updraft. This is our moment for setting forth. We are aeronauts and we are going out into the world to make webs for ourselves.”

You and Mr. Garter travel well, my friends. Your quote gave me chills. Portland might not know it yet, but it’s in for a treat.

I wish you safe travels and smooth transitions. When you pass thru Chicago, look north, I’ll be thinking of you! :o)

As a current NYC inhabitant with an eye to the West Coast I am so eager to read what you think about Portland. Good luck with the move, I admire your pluck in entering this new phase of your life!
