More distractions
The other night I dragged myself up to bed, feeling good about the progress I had just made on the Christmas knitting. There was the husband, all tucked in, reading about the financial situation at Singapore investment firms. (Yeah, it would put me to sleep, too.) I noticed he looked vaguely guilty. There was a studied air to his casual flipping of the pages. Then the blanket wriggled and I realized why:
Discipline has clearly gone to the dogs. And I have been supplanted. He denies it, but I swear he said, “Come on, girlfriend,” to the dog when he took her outside last evening.
Nobody here looks pleased with himself.
(And don’t worry, responsible pet owners. We don’t actually let her sleep with us. This was a one-time, invitation only, special privilege thing.)

ha ha ha ha. That last picture looks like she is saying, “Are you coming to bed?”

Well. My darling, devoted three year old pup has been sleeping in my bed since he was six weeks old (under the covers, I might add, and sometimes he appropriates my pillow.) I think it actually makes him more attached to me, and therefore more likely to want to listen when I ask him to… or maybe he’s just cute and warm. 🙂

I’d let her hop into my bed any minute too. Unfortunately she won’t stay this small and then it won’t be so comfortable anymore as I may say out of experience…

She is such a cutie! There’s no way I’d ever kick her out of my bed. I guess that’s why I sleep with one cat on my head and the other snuggled under the covers, under my chin…

My dog sleeps with me too. I don’t care what the “experts” say – it hasn’t led to any bad behavior, and he is so nice to snuggle up against.

I love snuggling with doggies. Our basset hound sleeps curled up at my feet.
Your pup is such a pretty girl!

She looks like she’s enjoying a little spoiling! But you’d better be careful or you and Mingus might be left with the couch!

She’s too cute! My husband always lets ours on the bed, too…at least until the cat kicks them off.

Try that whit a flatcoated retriever and the bed is to small. It`s a cute dog you have and I understand your husband.I do not like doghair in my bed and the dog likes best sleping on the flor or in his own bed.

A bit late, but that’s what happens when you ignore the Google Reader for a while 😉
I think Mr. Garter has the right idea 😉 And I always sleep with my dogs, and it hasn’t seemed to harm them too much…I think the worst part is that they hog the bed!
